Programs For Youth Aging Out of Foster Care

Foster Youth Summit

Adulting is hard, but it doesn’t have to be!  Earn $$$ for attending and learning at the Foster Youth Summit.

Youth in foster care, aged between 17-23 are invited to join us each year, for this amazing learning and fun experience. During the week-end long event, youth will gain great insight on various topics including career tracks, financial management, self-care, and housing information after they exit out of foster care. Youth will connect with their peers, amazing speakers, and enjoy fun games and prizes! 

Ifoster.org reports that within four years of aging out:

70% will be on government assistance
50% will be unemployed
50% will experience homelessness
25% will not have completed high school
Less than 12% will ever earn a college degree

Adultish Program

Earn $20 per session! (Collect funds every 3 sessions)

Youth in foster care aged 16-21 are invited to participate in the Adultish program, which provides continuing learning opportunities and resources to better prepare them for young adulthood. Youth also share information with one another and support each other in this peer-style group meeting.
