ABOUT THE FAMILIES GROWING STRONGER TOGETHER (FGST) PROGRAM
EARN $$ FOR COMPLETING THE PROGRAM!
The FGST program is a foster care prevention program where groups of parents meet weekly and learn practical parenting skills. Parents navigate a parenting curriculum while earning incentives, and are guided by experienced trainers. FGST currently works with any parent who is not currently involved in child welfare to build protective factors and facilitate family strengthening and positive parent-child relationships. Participants graduate within 1 month.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
- You must live in Washington, DC
- You must have children who live with you and are 12 years old or younger
- You do NOT have an open case with CPS
