Peer Group Training-The DC Office of the Ombudsperson for Children
Presenter: Petrina Jones-Jesz (Ombudsperson) – William D. Thomas (Deputy CFSA Ombudsperson)
Join us for an informative training designed to help foster, adoptive, and kinship parents better understand the role of the Office of the Ombudsperson for Children (OFC).
During this session, participants will: ✔ Learn about the purpose, mission, and operations of the Office of the Ombudsperson for Children ✔ Understand how the OFC advocates for fairness, transparency, and accountability in child welfare services ✔ Discover how to contact the OFC when concerns arise about a child involved with CFSA and how the office can assist families This training will empower caregivers with knowledge and resources to better support children in their care and ensure their voices are heard.
