Peer Mentoring Program
Experienced foster parents are thoughtfully paired with newly licensed foster parents to provide guidance, encouragement, and peer support—fostering a stronger, more confident, and better-informed community of caregivers.
Currently active and licensed foster parents can become certified to mentor via the ParentConnect App.Â
Newly licensed foster parents interested in receiving a mentor please email info@dcfapac.org
Accredited Trainings
FFAPAC offers monthly accredited trainings that foster parents can apply toward their licensing requirements. These sessions are designed to be practical, relevant, and supportive, covering topics such as soft-skill development, behavior management strategies, DC CFSA policies, and timely guidance to help foster parents confidently navigate their roles and better support the children in their care.
