This interactive webinar is designed to equip foster parents with practical strategies to de-escalate conflicts with youth in their care, fostering stronger relationships and a more supportive home environment. Participants will understand common conflict dynamics, the impact of trauma and developmental stages, and learn effective de-escalation techniques such as active listening, empathy, and calm boundary setting. Through role-play, scenario discussions, and communication skill-building, foster parents will practice applying these strategies in real-life situations. The session will also guide participants in developing personalized conflict resolution plans, strengthening self-regulation, and identifying resources for ongoing support.
