We asked Lynn Wynston a few questions to get to know her better.

What drew you to FAPAC?

As a native Washingtonian who has watched this city grow and change over decades, the families FAPAC serves are my neighbors, my community, and my home. I was inspired by It’s genuine investment in the wellbeing of the district’s most vulnerable children and the families who step forward to care for them – which align with my personal goals of serving underrepresented populations in meaningful ways.

What other work are you involved in outside of FAPAC?

Having recently retired, I am settling into this new normal and engaging in volunteer opportunities that help others and ultimately to make the places we live and the world better places.

What are you looking forward to the most as a board member?

I am looking forward to contributing my time and talent to FAPAC’s mission to serve the district’s foster and adoptive community. Drawing from my executive experience serving the world’s most vulnerable — including
children who had no safety net, no advocate, and no voice — I am honored to bring that same commitment home, to the children of my own city.
