Selah Squalls

Selah Squalls is a Senior, social work major at Jackson State University. She is currently in the process of completing her undergraduate years at Jackson State University, and receiving her Bachelor’s degree in social work. Selah is highly dedicated to community service, academics and proficient academic standing as a President’s List student, President of Chi Alpha Epsilon, Delta Upsilon Chapter Honor Society, and former member of the Social Work Student Association (SWSA) at Jackson State University. She is also a proud member of Celebration Church in Columbia, Maryland and was the first from her congregation to receive the Burnett Gene Terry Scholarship from the National Inspirational Youth Convention in 2019. Selah is also dedicated to serving young men and women from all ages, groups, and ethnicities through her previous services as a pre-school Paraeducator, Client Care Aide (working with children with disabilities), and community service at multiple institutions (Holy Cross Hospital and Global churches). Selah desires to become a Clinical Social Worker in the Washington DC-Metropolitan area, serving young men and women who suffer from or experience mental, behavioral, and emotional disturbances elicited by previous or current trauma. Selah enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and is an aspired visual artist.
