Dr. Cassandra Carter has over a decade of experience working with grant-based programs, health disparities research, and Juvenile Justice programming. She has a passion for working with youth and empowering stakeholders to improve the services provided. Dr. Carter works with The Office of Justice Programs Office of Juvenile Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) Research and Evaluation team as a Task Lead. Prior to joining Booz Allen Hamilton, she served as a Researcher and Technical Assistance Manager at Advocates for Human Potential, Inc., in Albany New York where she focused on health disparities research (HIV/AIDS) and was the Field Coordinator for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Ms. Carter is an action-based researcher, committed to both the academic world and the public sector as evidenced by the community contributions as an adjunct professor of sociology.
